Job summary

Madison Energy Infrastructure is seeking a Director of Battery Asset Management to lead the operating platform for a national distributed battery fleet. You will manage a Battery Asset Manager initially and scale the team as the fleet grows, owning performance, monitoring, and long-term service agreements.

The role combines hands-on troubleshooting with strategic vendor management, fire safety compliance, and financial acumen to turn operating decisions into value across multiple sites and

Qualifications

• 5+ years of technical experience with distributed generation battery systems.
• Hands-on trouble shooting experience and OEM familiarity.
• Experience negotiating or administering O&M agreements or LTSA.
• Management experience with at least one direct report and budget ownership.
• Understanding of project finance concepts like IRR and cash flow.

Responsibilities

• Own fleet performance metrics and drive improvements across sites.
• Build and maintain battery monitoring, alarms, dashboards, and reporting cadence.
• Negotiate and administer O&M agreements and long-term service contracts.
• Ensure fire safety, code compliance, and AHJ procedures.
• Manage Battery Asset Manager and grow the team as the fleet expands.
