Job summary

Madison Energy Infrastructure seeks a Director of Battery Asset Management to build and run the operating platform behind a national distributed battery fleet. You will own fleet performance, maintenance, and vendor relationships, while shaping the operating system for scale.

You will manage a Battery Asset Manager initially and grow the team as the fleet expands, with deep involvement in OEMs, warranties, and O&M agreements. A strong finance and contract background is essential.

Qualifications

5+ years in distributed generation battery systems.
Hands-on troubleshooting experience.
Experience negotiating or administering O&M agreements or LTSA.
Management experience with at least one direct report.
Strong familiarity with OEM manuals, warranties, and operating requirements.
Economic/financial fluency: IRR, cash flow, land leases, and offtake agreements.

Responsibilities

Fleet Performance: own targets for availability, dispatch, maintenance, MTTR, warranty.
Monitoring/reporting: build the battery monitoring platform with analytics.
O&M/long-term service agreements: negotiate, scope, pricing, and response times.
Fire safety and code compliance: AHJ, inspection, emergency procedures.
Team: start as player-coach, grow the Battery Asset Manager team.
Commercial fluency: understand project finance concepts and operating structure.
