Blue Origin seeks a dynamic Director of Avionics to lead avionics initiatives across our manufacturing and test operations. The role directs test, checkout, fabrication, and assembly of electro/mechanical systems and drives process improvements that reduce cycle times while meeting quality standards.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in an engineering or manufacturing field.
• Masters or MBA is a plus.
• 10+ years of leadership experience in manufacturing in aerospace, automotive, or related industries.
• Strong understanding of fabrication, integration, quality, and configuration management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the strategic vision for avionics at Blue Origin.
• Oversee development of scalable, efficient avionics manufacturing processes.
• Increase production capabilities and efficiency of avionics manufacturing.
• Implement cycle time reduction strategies to improve delivery timelines.
• Collaborate with programs to develop and qualify manufacturing capabilities.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing avionics team.
• Define budgets and schedules for raw materials, labor, and capex.
• Manage interfaces with other work centers and business functions to improve system-wide effectiveness.
