Job summary

C4 Therapeutics is seeking an experienced Assistant Controller to join our Accounting & Finance team at a pivotal moment in our growth.

Reporting to the Controller, this role will be a key technical and operational leader within Accounting, with ownership over the close process, internal controls, and several of C4T’s most complex accounting areas, including collaboration revenue, clinical trial accruals, and equity compensation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting plus eight years' progressive accounting experience, including public company exposure and CPA license.
• Experience with revenue recognition under US GAAP (ASC 606) and SOX controls is required.
• Strong coaching/mentoring skills with a track record of building high-performing teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close with focus on accuracy and timeliness under US GAAP.
• Review reconciliations and supporting schedules with timely issue resolution.
• Oversee collaboration revenue accounting under ASC 606 and equity compensation accounting (ASC 718).
• Lead SOX internal control design, documentation, and remediation with auditors.
• Mentor Accounting team and partner with cross-functional teams on reporting and forecasting.
