Job summary

Southwire Company LLC is seeking a seasoned Product Leader to manage a team of product managers, shape strategic plans, and drive marketing and lifecycle activities for a major product category. The role emphasizes market research, customer insights, and cross-functional collaboration across engineering, production, and logistics.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree with 8–11 years of experience; a Master’s degree and PMP/Six Sigma are preferred. Remote work is available, with none travel.

Job Summary

Leads a team of product managers to develop and executive business plans, manage capacity, and direct marketing programs for a significant product or product category, ensuring alignment with business goals. Key Responsibilities
  • Adjusts departmental strategies to align with organizational goals, ensuring the assembled solutions department supports business growth and operational objectives.
  • Advises with managers on key business issues, providing leadership on solving complex problems and optimizing processes within the assembled solutions function.
  • Allocates resources efficiently across projects and teams, ensuring that adequate personnel, materials, and budget are available to meet production and delivery goals.
  • Develops tactical and operational plans for the assembled solutions department, ensuring alignment with broader company strategies, production schedules, and customer requirements.
  • Ensures compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and safety standards across all assembled solutions operations to mitigate risks and maintain operational integrity.
  • Collaborates with internal teams, including engineering, production, and logistics, to ensure that assembled solutions meet customer specifications, quality standards, and project timelines.
  • Defines key performance indicators and benchmarks for the assembled solutions department, using these metrics to measure performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Manages the recruitment and development of the team, ensuring that new hires and current employees have the training, support, and leadership needed to excel in their roles.
  • Ensures quality and consistency across assembled solutions, providing guidance and oversight to ensure that all products meet high-quality standards and customer expectations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

  • Manages staff performance and development, coaching team members to achieve their full potential in contributing to the department's goals.
Required Education & Experience

Minimum Education Level: Bachelor's Degree Years of Experience: 8-11 Years

Preferred Education & Experience

Minimum Education Level: Masterâs degree Licenses/Certificates: Certification in project management or related field (e.g., PMP, Six Sigma) Years of Experience: 12-14 Years
