Qualifications

• PhD or professional doctorate required in business or related field.
• Demonstrated proficiency in quantitative and/or qualitative research methods, data analysis, and interpretation of complex information.
• Experience translating research findings into actionable recommendations for nonacademic audiences and leading collaborative research projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for the Bureau of Business Research (BBR) and manage its programs, operations, relationships, growth, and sustainability.
• Identify and develop applied research opportunities with external partners to support regional economic vitality.
• Oversee day-to-day operations, staffing, workflow, and budgets; ensure compliance with university and sponsor requirements.
• Engage external stakeholders, represent ECU in meetings and events, and pursue external funding and partnerships.

Education

PhD, EdD, DBA , or JD in a business field or associated business-related discipline
