BNY is seeking a Director, AI / Machine Learning Engineer to lead the AI Hub. The role is based in Lake Mary, FL and focuses on building AI-powered tools and platforms for engineers to design, build, test, and operate software.

This hands-on technical leadership position requires deep applied AI expertise, strong software engineering judgment, and the ability to grow a high-performing team within an enterprise environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and delivery of applied AI solutions hands-on.
• Provide technical direction and execution leadership for ML/AI products.
• Drive discovery, prototyping, and experiments to evaluate tools and model approaches.
• Partner with engineering and business stakeholders to define success measures.
• Lead and develop a high-performing AI/ML engineering team.
• Apply AI to improve the software development lifecycle with secure, production-ready capabilities.
• Contribute to architecture, delivery, reliability, and responsible AI adoption.
