BNY Mellon, located in Lake Mary, FL, seeks a Director, Full-Stack Engineer to lead the AI Hub Engineering team and deliver scalable front-end and back-end software solutions.

You will mentor engineers, drive architecture decisions, and partner with business groups to translate requirements into robust software delivering value.

This on-site role requires deep expertise in C#, Java, Angular, Node.js, and modern containerized stacks with a strong focus on security and modernization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline or equivalent experience.
• 14+ years of software development experience.
• Experience in the securities or financial services industry is preferred.
• Strong full-stack development expertise across front-end and back-end technologies.
• Proficiency in C#, Java, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Angular, Node.js, and JSON.
• Experience with application development frameworks and containerization technologies.
• Working knowledge of security principles, relational databases, and application architecture design.
• Demonstrated ability to understand technology interdependencies and the business impact of future IT plans.
• Extensive experience selecting and implementing vendor-specific methodologies and structured development approaches.
• Broad experience with multi-platform development tools, toolkits, and enterprise application environments.
• Strong communication, organizational, collaboration, and teamwork skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to mentor and influence technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Consult with internal business groups to provide advanced application software development services and technical support.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to IT and business managers on technical issues, challenges, and strategic initiatives.
• Design, develop, and maintain both front-end and back-end application components.
• Write well-designed, testable, efficient, and maintainable code.
• Analyze requirements and design comprehensive testing and test automation solutions.
• Develop flowcharts, technical designs, layouts, and documentation to support business and technology requirements.
• Maintain software functionality, performance, and technical currency by managing technical debt and modernization efforts.
• Actively participate in and contribute to code reviews and development best practices.
• Integrate software components into fully functional and scalable systems.
• Apply security and privacy principles throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Resolve highly complex technical problems that impact business operations and organizational objectives.
• Influence and help implement broad-based technology strategies across large IT organizations.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends.
• Educate business stakeholders and deliver presentations on technology strategies and solutions.
• Advocate for innovative and creative technology solutions that drive business value.
• Mentor and support the growth and development of junior engineers.
• Contribute to the achievement of Application Development goals and objectives.
• Complete all mandatory training and policy awareness programs within required timeframes.
• Engage in continuous learning through development tools and platforms such as Pluralsight.
