Job summary

Corient is seeking a Director of Alternative Investments to partner with advisors and clients, expanding adoption of private equity, private credit, real assets, and hedge strategies. You will educate, problem-solve, and build trusted relationships across the U.S.

to grow AUM and deliver a seamless client experience. The role requires 7–10 years in alternatives or wealth/asset management, strong communication, and familiarity with major asset classes.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of experience in alternatives, wealth management, asset management, or related field.
• Familiarity with major alternative asset classes; direct investment management experience not required.
• Proven ability to build relationships with financial advisors and end clients.
• Experience in investor relations, product specialist, or client-facing distribution role within an alternatives platform is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Partner with advisors and clients to drive adoption of alternative investment strategies through education, relationship development, and problem solving.
• Serve as a subject matter resource on private equity, private credit, real assets, hedge strategies and other alternatives.
• Develop and maintain relationships with advisors and clients across the U.S. as a trusted contact for alternatives needs.
• Lead business development to grow alternatives AUM, including prospecting, presenting, and closing new opportunities.
• Collaborate with investment management, product, advisory, and operations to ensure a seamless client experience.
• Represent the firm at industry events, conferences, and client meetings.
• Lead development of educational materials, presentations, and thought leadership content on alternatives.
