Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine is seeking a Principal Scientist to lead DDSAI data, AI, and digital health initiatives in Immunology. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate data science into practical, scalable solutions across projects and portfolios.

The role emphasizes strategic input, evaluation of new technologies, and close partnership with Translational Science and Discovery teams to improve decision making and development outcomes.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in engineering, mathematics, or a related scientific discipline with at least 4 years of relevant experience.
• At least 4 years of experience in pharmaceutical R&D, biotechnology, healthcare, data science, digital health, AI, analytics, or a related field.
• Experience translating scientific or business needs into practical data/AI-enabled solutions.

Responsibilities

• Contribute scientific and strategic input to Immunology R&D DDSAI priorities.
• Define, evaluate, and execute high-impact data science, AI, and analytics initiatives.
• Collaborate to design data science use cases and develop roadmaps from pilot to scale.
• Develop understanding of imaging, digital health, and real-world data assets.
• Map workflows to identify process improvements and automation opportunities.
• Shape scalable data, analytics, and digital capabilities that are reusable and interoperable.
• Evaluate emerging technologies, including generative AI and agentic workflows.
• Contribute to portfolio intelligence and technology opportunities for decision making.
• Prepare high-quality materials and present recommendations in leadership forums.
• Support additional objectives in DDSAI and broader R&D priorities.
