Job summary

MiniMed is seeking a Director of Cyber Defense to lead Security Operations and Offensive Security across enterprise IT, cloud, identity, applications, data, and connected-product ecosystems. The role requires an AI-native mindset to redesign security around automation, APIs, telemetry, and regulated governance.

You will own 24x7 operations, incident response, and threat hunting, while guiding an incident commander for high-severity events and steering a skilled security team through

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree and minimum of 15 years of cybersecurity experience with 7+ years of managerial experience.
• Experience building or leading a global, distributed security operations capability.
• Familiarity with NIST CSF, MITRE ATT&CK, OWASP, and regulatory expectations.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the Cyber Defense strategy, roadmap, and operating model.
• Own 24x7x365 Security Operations including monitoring, detection engineering, and incident response.
• Lead the enterprise Offensive Security program including penetration testing and adversary emulation.
• Design AI-native security services with automation-first principles.
• Build and lead a technically strong team and govern vendor services.
• Own build-versus-buy decisions and transition to standalone operating model.
