Job summary

MiniMed seeks a Director of Cyber Defense — Security Operations & Offensive Security to build and run a modern cyber defense program across IT, cloud, identity, data, manufacturing and OT. You will own strategy, people, services and operating model to detect, respond, test, and continuously improve defenses with an AI-native mindset.

Requires 15+ years in cybersecurity with 7+ years in leadership, plus a proven ability to manage 24x7 security operations, incident response, and offensive security

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity or related field.
• Minimum of 15 years of cybersecurity experience with 7+ years in management.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute Cyber Defense strategy, roadmap and operating model across IT, cloud, identity, data, applications, manufacturing and OT.
• Own 24x7x365 Security Operations including monitoring, detection engineering, threat intel, threat hunting, incident response and forensics.
• Serve as senior incident commander for high-severity events and manage escalation, recovery and reporting.
• Lead enterprise Offensive Security program: pen tests, red team, adversary emulation, breach simulations and control validation.
• Design AI-native security services: automation-first, API-first, detection-as-code and governed AI agents.
• Build and lead a technically strong team; govern vendors, managed services and transition to standalone operating model.
