Job summary

Ladders is seeking a Principal Architect - AI to join a leader in the Finance & Insurance space, with a remote setup in the United States. You will shape the enterprise AI architecture vision focusing on Generative AI, Agentic AI, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) to enable safe, high-value adoption across the business.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in AI, Machine Learning, Computer Science, Engineering, or a quantitative discipline preferred.
• 10+ years of enterprise/large-scale architecture experience.
• 7+ years leading GenAI, RAG, and Agentic AI in complex environments.

Responsibilities

• Own and set the enterprise Generative AI and Agentic AI architecture vision and roadmap.
• Chair executive architecture and AI governance forums, establishing decision rights and design authorities.
• Define and govern the enterprise agentic AI strategy and platform blueprint.
• Establish enterprise patterns for multi-agent orchestration and decision workflows.
• Own the enterprise Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) strategy and common frameworks.
• Define enterprise integration patterns for AI solutions with legacy and modern platforms.
• Lead the AI architecture portfolio, prioritizing capabilities based on business value and risk.

Job description

For our client, we are seeking a Principal Architect - AI to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space. This role will shape the enterprise AI architecture vision for a large, regulated organization, with a strong focus on Generative AI, Agentic AI, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation. The principal architect will partner with executive leaders and architecture stakeholders to define governance, decision rights, and scalable patterns that enable safe, high-value adoption across the business. This position will also help establish the platforms and integration approaches needed to operationalize AI solutions in a complex enterprise environment.

Location: Remote

Compensation: $160,000 – $190,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Own and set the enterprise Generative AI and Agentic AI architecture vision and roadmap
• Chair executive architecture and AI governance forums, establishing decision rights and design authorities
• Define and govern the enterprise agentic AI strategy and platform blueprint

• Expertise with AWS AgentCore and Azure AI Agent Service; mastery of agentic frameworks required
• Proven experience establishing AI governance and operationalizing AI solutions within compliance constraints
