Job summary

Verizon is seeking a senior AI leadership role to serve as the strategic bridge across the enterprise, engaging with VP and SVP-level executives in Legal, InfoSec, and Responsible AI. You will direct a team of Principal AI Engineers and Scientists, guiding deployment decisions using dashboards and governance frameworks.

The role emphasizes compliance, scalable data science, and collaboration with AI Platform Engineering. Hybrid work with on-site and remote elements is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
• Ten or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.
• Three or more years of managing high-performing engineering/AI teams
• Experience in AI Science/Engineering

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary strategic bridge across the enterprise and interact with VP/SVP executives.
• Direct a specialized team of Principal AI Engineers and Scientists.
• Rely on Verizon's compliance policies, RIL frameworks, and AI safety standards.
• Use executive dashboards, cloud governance frameworks, AI registration hubs, and evaluation architectures for go/no-go decisions.
• Leverage big data tools to redefine raw data into scalable data science models.
• Plan and allocate work across team members and manage production ML tasks.
