Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent in genomics, computational biology, ML, or related field.
• 7–10+ years in AI-driven drug discovery, functional genomics, life science tools, or biopharma with market development or strategy roles.
• Knowledge of single-cell technologies, CRISPR and perturbation screens, and data feeding ML models.
• Established relationships with pharma discovery, data science, or AI-bio leaders to influence senior stakeholders.
• Ability to build and execute strategy in an undefined market without a playbook.
• Excellent storytelling and executive communication with cross-functional leadership.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the market development strategy for AI-driven science, focusing on large-scale perturbation screens and drug discovery.
• Segment the market and size demand across AI-native biotech, pharma AI teams, tech companies, and academic model builders.
• Identify data needs, use cases, and decision points that lead customers to buy large-scale single-cell and perturbation data.
• Build competitive positioning and a viewpoint on where 10x data and platforms are best input for model training and validation.
