Job summary

Wesco in Seattle is seeking a Director of Advanced Infrastructure Solutions (AI/HPC) to lead technical discovery, architecture discussions, and deployment planning for complex AI and GPU-enabled data center environments. You will partner with sales, engineering, and delivery teams to craft scalable infrastructure solutions and provide technical leadership across the engagement lifecycle.

You will mentor a team of engineers, develop reference architectures, and deliver customer-facing materials

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, IT, or related field.
• 13+ years in high-performance computing infrastructure, data center technologies, or related domains.
• 2+ years leading a team of at least 6 direct reports.
• Experience supporting customer-facing technical solutioning or pre-sales activities.
• Strong knowledge of data center infrastructure, server platforms, and advanced compute technologies (GPU/AI).
• Familiarity with leading vendors (NVIDIA, Dell, Lenovo, Supermicro, Broadcom, Qualcomm, Intel).
• Exposure to AI inference, accelerated compute, or HPC environments; relevant certifications preferred.
• Understanding of compute, networking, storage, and facility constraints.
• NVIDIA AI certification preferred; CCIE preferred.
• Strong leadership, presentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery and guide architecture discussions with customers and stakeholders.
• Partner with sales and solution teams to position infrastructure solutions effectively.
• Develop reference architectures, solution patterns, and best practices for AI/GPU data centers.
• Mentor a team of experienced technical professionals and managers.
• Deliver technical documentation and customer-facing materials.
• Communicate product gaps and customer needs to engineering and marketing teams.
• Present to senior management and industry audiences, including technical workshops.
