Capital One is pursuing responsible and reliable AI systems to transform banking experiences. This Director of AI Engineering role is remote-eligible and sits at the center of building scalable AI platforms, training and inference pipelines, and governance frameworks.

You will lead a multi-disciplinary team, drive strategic roadmaps, and ensure high-quality, compliant AI solutions for millions of customers across the enterprise.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in CS/AI/EE/CE with 6–8+ years in AI/ML.
• 3+ years of people leadership experience.

Responsabilidades

• Lead cross-functional teams to deliver AI-powered products.
• Oversee design, development, testing, deployment and support of AI software components.
• Make build-vs-buy decisions across Open Source and SaaS AI tech.
• Invent foundation model optimization techniques for performance and cost.
• Contribute to the long-term AI platform roadmap at Capital One.
• Foster learning and professional development within the team.
• Translate AI strategy into portfolio-level execution plans across product areas.
• Scale AI practices with reusable components and governance frameworks.
• Establish enterprise standard for Responsible AI and governance.
