Ladders seeks a Distinguished Engineer - AI & Engineering Transformation to drive AI adoption across our enterprise software products and shape scalable architecture. This key leader will partner with product and engineering leadership to advance AI capabilities and align technology with business goals.

You will guide teams in building AI blocks, influence modern development practices, and transform the engineering lifecycle while balancing strategic oversight with hands-on leadership.

For our client, we are seeking a Distinguished Engineer - AI & Engineering Transformation to join the team of a leader in the Enterprise Technology space. This role will help drive the adoption of AI across enterprise software products, with a focus on improving customer outcomes and enabling scalable innovation. You will partner closely with product, engineering, and technical leadership to shape AI capabilities, influence application architecture, and advance modern development practices. The position also requires a strong balance of strategic thinking and hands‑on technical leadership to help transform the engineering lifecycle.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $240,000 – $320,000 annually

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 15+ years of software engineering experience in SaaS or cloud-based enterprise software environments.
• Proficiency in delivering and productizing AI/ML capabilities in enterprise applications.
• Strong enterprise application architecture experience, balancing innovation and scalability.
• Experience leading engineering transformation with modern software development and AI workflows.
• Ability to influence across organizations without direct authority and align senior stakeholders.
• Strong technical credibility, strategic operating capability, and a hands‑on approach.
