Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Director of Software Quality Assurance Engineering to lead quality strategy across the Fire Solutions Business Unit. You will oversee global teams, drive AI-driven practices, and advance automated testing across embedded, cloud, mobile, and web platforms.

Leader will shape governance, digital twin testing, and CI/CD integration while traveling occasionally to global R&D sites. This role emphasizes data-driven decisions and a culture of quality.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in Software Quality Assurance or Quality Engineering.
• 5+ years leading managers and globally distributed teams.
• Experience developing and executing quality strategies for complex product organizations.
• Proven success driving test automation, process improvement, and quality transformation initiatives.
• Experience in Agile, DevOps, SDLC, and CI/CD environments.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the software quality strategy for the Fire Solutions Business Unit.
• Lead global Software Quality Assurance teams across multiple locations.
• Evolve quality standards, processes, tools, and governance across product development organizations.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams to achieve milestones and business objectives.
• Drive a culture of quality, accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
