Job summary

Wolters Kluwer is seeking a Director of Product Software Engineering - AI to shape strategy and deliver AI-powered software solutions at scale. You will lead multiple engineering teams, drive AI adoption, and partner with Product, Architecture, and business stakeholders to deliver customer value.

The role requires executive-level communication, cloud, AI governance expertise, and a track record of building high-performing, scalable engineering organizations focused on measurable outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of software engineering experience with progressive leadership responsibility.
• 5+ years leading engineering managers and multiple software engineering teams.
• Experience delivering cloud-native software products and platforms using Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
• Strong understanding of modern software architecture, APIs, DevOps, CI/CD, automation, and Agile delivery methodologies.
• Experience leading teams building AI-enabled products.
• Familiarity with LLMs, RAG, agentic workflows, and AI governance.
• Experience using AI development tools (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, etc.).
• Customer-centric product development and co-design experience.
• Experience driving engineering strategy and execution within a matrixed enterprise environment.
• Demonstrated success building and scaling engineering organizations.
• Strong executive communication, stakeholder management, and organizational leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the engineering vision, strategy, and roadmap for Firm Intelligence products and platforms.
• Lead multiple engineering teams and managers, ensuring alignment with business objectives and product strategy.
• Drive organizational transformation through modern engineering, cloud, automation, and AI capabilities.
• Establish engineering standards, development frameworks, and best practices that improve quality, speed, and scalability.
• Champion the adoption of AI-enabled software development and intelligent product capabilities.
• Partner with Product Management to identify opportunities where AI, automation, and advanced analytics can create measurable customer value.
• Guide architectural decisions involving cloud-native applications, APIs, platform services, and AI-powered solutions.
• Foster a culture of experimentation, rapid learning, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate closely with customers, product leaders, and business stakeholders to translate challenges into innovative technology solutions.
• Ensure engineering teams focus on solving customer problems and delivering measurable outcomes.
• Utilize data and operational metrics to drive product decisions, prioritize investments, and evaluate success.
• Build, develop, and retain high-performing engineering leaders and teams.
• Coach managers and senior engineers through mentorship, technical leadership, and career development.
• Create an inclusive, collaborative culture that encourages innovation, accountability, and continuous learning.
• Manage budgets, resource planning, and organizational priorities to support strategic growth.
