Job summary

Wolters Kluwer seeks a Director of Product Software Engineering - AI to steer strategy and delivery of AI-powered software solutions at scale. You will lead senior engineers, mentor leaders, and partner with Product, Architecture, and business units to translate customer problems into scalable technology.

You will shape engineering strategy, champion AI adoption, and drive modern practices across cloud-native platforms while maintaining a customer-first mindset and measurable outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years software engineering with progressive leadership responsibility.
• 5+ years leading engineering managers and multiple teams.
• Experience delivering cloud-native software on Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
• Strong understanding of modern software architecture, APIs, DevOps, CI/CD, automation, and Agile delivery.
• Experience leading teams building AI-enabled products.
• Familiarity with LLMs, RAG, agentic workflows, and AI governance.
• Experience using AI development tools (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, etc.).
• Customer-centric product development and co-design experience.
• Experience driving engineering strategy in a matrixed enterprise.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the engineering vision, strategy, and roadmap for Firm Intelligence products and platforms.
• Lead multiple engineering teams and managers, ensuring alignment with business objectives and product strategy.
• Drive organizational transformation through modern engineering, cloud, automation, and AI capabilities.
• Establish engineering standards, development frameworks, and best practices that improve quality, speed, and scalability.
• Champion the adoption of AI-enabled software development and intelligent product capabilities.
• Partner with Product Management to identify AI opportunities delivering measurable customer value.
• Guide architectural decisions involving cloud-native apps, APIs, platform services, and AI-powered solutions.
• Foster a culture of experimentation, rapid learning, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with customers, product leaders, and business stakeholders to translate challenges into innovative tech solutions.
• Ensure teams focus on customer problems and measurable outcomes.
• Use data and metrics to drive product decisions and investments.
