Job summary

Wolters Kluwer seeks a Director, Product Software Engineering - AI to lead strategy, development, and delivery of AI-powered solutions that drive business outcomes. You will build and mentor high-performing engineering teams while partnering with Product, Architecture, and business stakeholders to solve complex customer problems.

The role demands a customer-focused mindset, governance over cloud-native platforms, and a track record of scaling organizations.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
10+ years of software engineering experience with progressive leadership responsibility.
5+ years leading engineering managers and multiple software engineering teams.
Experience delivering cloud-native software products and platforms using Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
Strong understanding of modern software architecture, APIs, DevOps, CI/CD, automation, and Agile delivery methodologies.
Experience leading teams building AI-enabled products.
Familiarity with LLMs, RAG, agentic workflows, and AI governance.
Experience using AI development tools (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, etc.).
Customer-centric product development and co-design experience
Experience driving engineering strategy and execution within a matrixed enterprise environment.
Demonstrated success building and scaling engineering organizations.
Strong executive communication, stakeholder management, and organizational leadership skills.

Responsibilities

Define and execute the engineering vision, strategy, and roadmap for Firm Intelligence products and platforms.
Lead multiple engineering teams and managers, ensuring alignment with business objectives and product strategy.
Drive organizational transformation through modern engineering, cloud, automation, and AI capabilities.
Establish engineering standards, development frameworks, and best practices that improve quality, speed, and scalability.
