Job summary

Assembly Health is seeking a Director of Product Engineering to guide our software engineering org through rapid growth, AI-driven innovation, and platform modernization. You will oversee global engineering execution across product lines, establishing modern practices and delivering scalable tech products for healthcare and regulated industries.

Ideal candidates bring deep technical leadership, operational excellence, and a track record of building enterprise SaaS platforms.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
15+ years of software engineering experience.
8+ years leading engineering organizations.
Experience building AI-enabled products.
Proven success building SaaS platforms.
Experience leading Agile engineering organizations.
Experience managing distributed engineering teams.
Strong cloud architecture knowledge (Azure preferred).
Experience with enterprise integrations and APIs.
Excellent executive communication skills.

Responsibilities

Lead all software engineering teams responsible for Assembly's products and internal platforms.
Build and mentor engineering managers and senior technical leaders.
Create a culture focused on accountability, execution, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Recruit, retain, and develop top engineering talent.
Manage both domestic and offshore engineering organizations.
