Job summary

Housecall Pro is hiring a Director of Product Design to shape the Revenue surface, lead AI-enabled design initiatives, and drive end-to-end product experiences for Pro customers. You will partner with Design, Product, and Engineering leaders, mentor design teams, and prototype with AI tools to raise velocity and craft quality.

You will guide design strategy, roadmaps, and hands-on prototyping, while emphasizing data-driven decisions and strong collaboration across functions to deliver impactful

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience shipping digital products end-to-end.
• 5+ years of experience directly managing and leading teams of product designers.
• Bachelor's degree in Product Design, HCI, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Proven expertise with modern design platforms (Figma, Adobe Creative Suite) and fluency with AI-native tools.
• Experience with Agile development and collaboration tools (Jira, Confluence).
• Portfolio URL or PDF showcasing mobile and responsive product design.
• Proven experience driving team efficiency or output quality via AI tools and automation.
• Experience designing AI-powered product experiences (chat/agent interfaces, personalization).

Responsibilities

• Define design strategy for Revenue domains, integrating AI-driven features and agentic workflows.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Business Operations across cross-functional partners.
• Strategize roadmaps and priorities with executive leaders.
• Ensure high-quality design practices from concept to launch for cohesive experiences.
• Champion adoption of AI-assisted design tools and prototype ideas hands-on.
• Mentor and grow the broader product design organization and elevate design practice.
