Job summary

Leena AI is hiring a techno-functional HR leader who has run HR operations at scale—payroll, time, benefits and employee changes—and wants to turn that experience into AI Colleagues that solve real HR operations problems, not just answer questions. You'll report directly to a co-founder of Leena AI.

You'll wear three hats, in this order of priority: Build high-value HR agents, tailor agents for customers during implementations, and represent Leena AI in the market.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in HR, including 5+ years leading HR operations at scale (5,000+ employees) or equivalent transformation work.
• Hands-on ownership of high-volume HR transactions—payroll, time, benefits, life events, and job/comp changes.
• Systems know-how across the HR stack; deep familiarity with major HR platforms and data flows.
• Led at least one end-to-end HR technology implementation or transformation from design to go-live.
• Techno-functional fluency: read process flows/APIs, write structured requirements, and validate system behavior.
• Business sense to size processes by volume, rework hours, and cost of errors.
• Working knowledge of US HR compliance (FLSA, multi-state rules, FMLA, ACA, ERISA).
• Executive presence with CHRO audiences; able to run workshops and answer skeptical questions.
• Curiosity about AI and prior use of generative AI tools in HR settings.

Responsibilities

• Build high-value HR agents that handle payroll, time, benefits and life events with correct policy adherence.
• Ensure agents catch issues early, resolve end-to-end, and interface with humans when needed.
• Co-own the product roadmap with Product; demonstrate ROI through reduced errors and faster issue resolution.
• Tailor agents for customer policies, pay/time rules and system setups during implementations.
• Represent Leena AI in the market through discovery calls, ROI workshops and external thought leadership.
