Job summary

Motive seeks a Director of Developer Platform & Experience to own and accelerate our internal developer ecosystem. You will oversee developer experience, infrastructure, build/CI, testing, and governance for AI-driven development across North America, Europe, and Asia.

You will lead managers of managers, shaping strategy and execution, and partnering with Security, Legal, and Platform teams to align governance with ambitious velocity and high reliability.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in software engineering with proven leadership.
• 6+ years leading engineering teams, including 2+ years as a manager of managers.
• Hands-on experience with modern AI developer tooling and evaluating LLM-based solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead a multi-team organization across time zones, hiring and developing engineering managers.
• Own the developer platform, including CI/CD, tooling, and governance for AI-assisted development.
• Drive velocity and reliability of the engineering org with measurable outcomes.
