Job summary

Motive is seeking a seasoned engineering leader to head Core Infrastructure and Operations Engineering. You will manage and mentor a multi-functional team spanning SRE, Operations, Data & AI Platform, and Database Engineering.

Own our cloud platform, treat infrastructure as a product, and drive enterprise-grade reliability for mission-critical systems. As a leader you’ll guide multi-team initiatives, partner with product, and set strategic direction for platform evolution while maintaining

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience as an engineering leader with cloud platform scale.
• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent and strong ownership mindset.
• Ability to lead multiple initiatives across cross-functional teams.
• Deep knowledge of cloud infrastructure and observability.
• Experience with data and ML infrastructure and vendor partnerships.

Responsibilities

• Lead and scale a high-performing engineering team responsible for core platform systems.
• Define multi-quarter platform initiatives to improve velocity, reliability, and leverage.
• Partner with product and engineering to evolve the platform as a product.
• Turn ambiguous, high-impact problems into clear execution plans.
• Drive alignment across teams on complex, interdependent systems.
• Raise engineering quality and operational excellence across the platform.
