Job summary

Bristol Myers Squibb in Princeton, NJ, seeks a Director of AI Communications to shape the enterprise AI narrative and advance how AI is communicated across the company and to external audiences.

You will partner with BI&T and communications teams to translate AI strategy into clear, credible messaging, support executive communications, and elevate BMS’s leadership in responsible AI use.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, Journalism, Public Relations, English, or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in corporate communications or executive communications, in a large, complex organization.
• 4+ years of senior leadership experience with advisory responsibilities at the C-suite level.
• Strong writing, storytelling and strategic communications skills.
• Ability to translate AI, emerging tech and digital transformation concepts into clear narratives.
• Experience developing enterprise narratives and translating strategy into communications for internal and external audiences.
• Experience collaborating with Media Relations, Legal, Government Affairs and other partners.

Responsibilities

• Shape, evolve and activate BMS’s enterprise AI narrative with credibility and priority alignment.
• Partner with BI&T and enterprise teams to translate AI strategy into compelling messaging.
• Drive consistency of AI messaging across Corporate Communications and related teams.
• Coordinate cross‑functional input to reflect diverse AI perspectives in the enterprise narrative.
• Develop stories and proof points demonstrating AI progress for external channels.
• Identify partnerships and platforms to elevate BMS’s AI leadership and reputation.
