Job summary

Bristol Myers Squibb seeks an Executive Director to lead communications for corporate functions and executive leadership. You will shape strategy, elevate leadership visibility, and steer digital engagement across internal and external audiences.

Partner with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to translate complex scientific and business topics into compelling narratives, driving enterprise messaging and transformation initiatives.

Qualifications

• Significant experience developing and leading communications strategies for senior executives, corporate functions, or enterprise-level initiatives within a complex organization.
• Proven ability to serve as a trusted strategic advisor, shaping communications approaches and influencing stakeholders.
• Strong executive presence and judgement for high-visibility issues and priorities.
• Exceptional written, verbal and digital communications skills across multi-channel platforms.
• Experience integrating messaging across internal, external and digital channels.

Responsibilities

• Lead communications strategy and execution for corporate functions, including Finance, HR, Legal, Business Insights & Technology, and Corporate Affairs.
• Develop executive positioning and thought leadership for designated leaders and senior executives.
• Oversee corporate digital channels and executive social strategy, ensuring alignment with priorities and best practices.
• Coordinate messaging with Brand, Reputation, Media Relations and other functions to drive integrated communications across the enterprise.
