Job summary

Lantern seeks a Senior Director of Application & AI Security to own end-to-end security for software and AI systems. You will build and lead a growing security function, set secure-design standards, and enable fast product delivery with automated guardrails.

You will champion AI/ML security, cryptographic standards, and a risk-based security intake across product, platform, and governance teams, in a hybrid Dallas-based environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years application or product security experience.
• Minimum of 3 years leading a team with function-level accountability.
• Proven AI and ML security ownership at production scale, including model and agent security, prompt-injection and data-egress controls.

Responsibilities

• Own application security across the development lifecycle (SAST/DAST/IAST, dependencies, API security, runtime protections).
• Own AI/ML security, including model/agent security and data-egress controls; align with OWASP LLM Top 10 and MITRE ATLAS.
• Own security architecture, threat modeling, secure-by-design reviews and cryptographic standards.
• Lead DevSecOps and pipeline security with default scanning in CI/CD and SBOM practice.
• Operate a single security-review intake with risk-based triage and fast turnaround.
• Own the security-tool stack and the secure-design standards.
