Job summary

Northern Trust is seeking a Director of Cyber Security Development & Automation to lead a team delivering full-stack security apps and automation protecting clients, data, applications and infrastructure. You will set the strategy, translate risk priorities into a roadmap, and drive scalable, audit-ready solutions enterprise-wide.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in cybersecurity, software security, cloud/infra automation and related tech.
• 5+ years leading large development teams and shaping engineering culture.
• Ability to align security needs with enterprise architecture and risk goals.
• Sets technical direction, evaluates architecture, and communicates with execs.
• Proficient in Python-based automation, APIs, CI/CD, cloud-native services.
• Experience with LLM-enabled patterns, AI agent workflows, model evaluation.
• Experience delivering in regulated environments with audit-ready evidence.

Responsibilities
