Job summary

Travelers is seeking a Director, Agile Product Owner within the Claims organization to lead a cross-functional team delivering agile capabilities. You’ll be the voice of the end-user, guiding backlog and outcomes while translating complex technical concepts into business value.

The role requires strong technical acumen and credibility with engineering and architecture teams, translating business strategy into execution-ready work and aligning product goals with circle/value stream objectives.

Qualifications

• Three years of work experience in related field.
• Three years of experience motivating/influencing teams.
• Ability to translate business strategy and product vision into execution-ready work.

Responsibilities

• Define, prioritize and ensure a ready backlog for a cross-functional product team.
• Manage backlog and experimentation to shape future deliverables.
• Translate business strategies into execution-ready work for agile teams.
• Represent end-user needs and ensure acceptance criteria are met.
• Own team backlog, prioritization and refinement with trade-offs to maximize value.
• Set objectives and KPIs to optimize value flow.
• Understand impact of change and drive adoption with measurable metrics.
• Provide feedback and remove roadblocks to improve team performance.
• Collaborate with leaders to determine resources needed to achieve outcomes.
• Share best practices to ensure alignment across value streams.
• Foster an innovative, inclusive team culture and self-organization.
• Potentially manage Agile Product Owners.
