Job summary

Valparaiso University seeks a Director of Adult Learning Partnerships to build and manage a portfolio of corporate, healthcare, government, and nonprofit employer relationships that bring Valpo's graduate degrees, certificates, and credit-bearing professional education directly to working adults. This is an external-facing, revenue-generating role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business preferred.
• 2-5 years experience in sales, workforce development or corporate relations.
• Ability to learn and understand Valpo's graduate and undergraduate offerings, and develop workforce partnerships with business and industry in the NW Indiana market.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain a qualified pipeline of prospective employer partners across Northwest Indiana, the greater Chicago region, and select national employers with concentrations of Valpo alumni or program-relevant workforces.
• Conduct discovery with senior HR, talent development, and operating leaders to identify credential gaps, succession needs, tuition assistance underutilization, and skills shortages that Valpo programs can address.
• Prioritize prospects based on workforce size, tuition benefit structure, program fit, and realistic enrollment yield; maintain disciplined records in the University's CRM.
• Represent Valparaiso University at regional chambers, workforce boards, industry associations, and employer meetings and events.
