Job summary

Sherwood Autism Center is seeking a Director of Adult Day Services to lead day habilitation and employment programs for adults with autism. You will coordinate staff, ensure compliance, and collaborate with DMH, Medicaid and other agencies.

The role requires strategic budgeting, program evaluation, and partnership development within a hybrid work model (four days in-office, one day remote) in Kansas City, MO.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a relevant field.
• 7+ years experience working with individuals with Autism or related developmental disabilities.
• 5+ years supervisory experience.
• Experience with Medicaid documentation and billing.
• Training in Positive Behavior Supports, Gentle Teaching, Missouri Quality Outcomes and TOOLS.
• Strong computer and technology skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and vision to ensure continuous development and improvement of the program.
• Establish partnerships with community stakeholders and state/federal bodies.
• Maintain awareness of community resources and provide navigational support.
• Monitor compliance with regulations and licensure requirements.
• Oversee curriculum/programming for adults with autism.
• Manage community-based partnerships and volunteer activities.
