Job summary

ADPis is seeking a Director of Actuary for Health & Wealth Benefits to lead actuarial analyses, pricing, and risk modeling. You will collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and cross-functional teams, delivering insights and models to support strategic growth in a dynamic healthcare space.

You will bring 12+ years of actuarial experience, ASA, and a strong health insurance background, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and communicate complex ideas to leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
• ASA certification required.
• 12+ years of actuarial experience with health insurance background.
• Knowledge of healthcare actuarial practices including pricing, reserving, forecasting.
• Experience with cloud databases (AWS) and cloud data analytics.
• Proficiency in statistical modeling tools and programming languages: SQL, Python, MATLAB, R.

Responsibilities

• Conduct experience studies and derive actionable insights to improve subscriber behaviors and outcomes.
• Analyze carrier cost ratios to identify growth opportunities.
• Develop benchmarks for performance assessment and improvement potential.
• Prepare actuarial reports for senior leadership with clear findings and recommendations.
• Collaborate with Data & Analytics to create roadmaps and execute fast-paced projects.
• Mentor junior team members within matrix pods on Advanced Analytics initiatives.
