Job summary

The Director of Accessible Educational Materials Services (AEMS) leads Louisiana's statewide program providing accessible instructional materials to students who are blind or visually impaired.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, Education, Educational Leadership, Visual Impairment, or related field.
  • Five years of progressively responsible educational leadership experience.
  • Three years supervising professional staff.
  • Experience administering statewide educational programs and managing budgets and federal programs.
  • Experience working with students who are blind or visually impaired.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead statewide programs, develop strategic initiatives, and manage complex budgets.
