Job summary

JCW Group is seeking a Director of Credit / Underwriting in New York City to lead ABL underwriting for sponsor-backed consumer brands. Candidates should have over 7 years of relevant credit experience and a proven track record in structuring middle market transactions.

In this hands-on role, you will manage multiple deals, work closely with senior leadership on portfolio strategies, and play a critical role in mentoring a growing underwriting team.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in credit underwriting, private credit, or middle market lending, preferably with ABL exposure.
• Track record structuring and executing middle market transactions.
• Experience with consumer brands and sponsor-backed companies is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead underwriting for ABL transactions in consumer brands.
• Structure, analyze, and recommend credit solutions for deals ranging from $10MM–$50MM.
• Manage multiple deals simultaneously for efficient execution.
• Provide insight and recommendations on portfolio strategy and risk management.
• Support the growth of the underwriting team, mentoring analysts.
