Job summary

The Bachrach Group seeks an Underwriting Manager in New York to oversee underwriting operations for small balance commercial receivables and alternative lending products. You will lead a team, ensure timely deal execution, and align with credit policies and risk tolerance.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in credit/underwriting, with at least 3 years in people management, and strong financial analysis skills including cash flow evaluation and experience with MCA and ABL products.

• 7+ years of credit/underwriting experience.
• At least 3 years in team management.
• Strong financial analysis and cash flow evaluation skills.
• Experience with alternative lending products such as MCA and ABL.

Responsibilities

• Oversee underwriting operations for small balance commercial receivables and alternative lending products.
• Report to the Director of Credit on underwriting activities.
• Manage day-to-day underwriting workflows and ensure timely deal execution.
• Ensure adherence to credit policies and alignment with risk tolerance.
• Lead, coach, and develop underwriters to build a high-performing credit function.
• Partner with senior leadership to refine underwriting frameworks and improve reporting and monitoring.
