Job summary

SpaceXSI is seeking a Director of Site Operations to own and optimize uptime for its AI supercompute cluster across 5+ sites. You will lead a 250+ person team including site managers, shift supervisors, and technicians, and partner with facilities, network, and tenants to maintain exceptional reliability and SLA performance.

Qualifications

• Experience leading large-scale, multi-site operations.
• Background in server hardware, cluster reliability, data center technologies.
• Experience with compute-heavy environments like AI/ML at scale.

Responsibilities

• Own cluster uptime across 5+ sites and ensure 24/7 availability and SLA adherence.
• Lead 250+ person ops org including site managers, shift supervisors, technicians across four shifts.
• Drive remediation of failed nodes/racks via CLI and physical intervention to minimize MTTR.
• Coordinate with facilities, network, and tenants to reduce downtime and plan maintenance.
• Direct vendor execution for hardware repairs, replacements, and capacity work.
• Lead SRE org for proactive health monitoring, fault mitigation, RCA, and documentation.
• Lead data-driven improvements to balance resources and improve uptime and SLA performance.
• Manage incident response at scale with clear direction and rapid recovery.
• Scale operations by standardizing best practices across sites with cluster expansion.
