SpaceXSI is seeking a Director of Site Operations to own uptime for the AI supercompute cluster across 5+ sites, overseeing 250+ staff, SRE, and vendor relations. The role drives fault mitigation, incident response, and continuous improvement to ensure superior reliability in a demanding 24/7 environment.

You will partner across facilities, network, and tenant teams to minimize downtime, while building a culture of excellence and accountability as SpaceXSI scales its operations.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years in large-scale operations with 5+ years leading technical teams, or 10+ years in similar roles.
• Proven ability to lead multi-site, 24/7 operations with accountability for uptime and SLAs.
• Deep expertise in server hardware, data center technologies, and lifecycle management.

Responsabilités

• Own cluster uptime across 5+ sites, ensuring SLA adherence and exceptional reliability.
• Lead a 250+ person organization including site managers, supervisors, and technicians.
• Drive remediation of failed nodes/racks via command-line and physical interventions to minimize repair time.
• Coordinate with facilities, network, and tenant teams to minimize downtime and plan downtime.
• Direct vendors for hardware repairs and capacity work to meet cluster requirements.
• Oversee SRE function: proactive monitoring, fault mitigation, RCA, and reliability procedures.
• Lead continuous improvement using data to balance resources and uptime metrics.
• Manage incident command during major cluster-impacting events with clear communication.
