Job summary

Lumbee River EMC is seeking a Directional Drilling General Foreman in Pembroke, KY to oversee and coordinate underground boring paths for power and fiber optic lines. The role requires supervising crews, drilling paths, and ensuring safety during operations.

You will work with staking sheets, operate drilling and vacuum systems, and coordinate daily project progress. The position emphasizes adherence to OSHA standards, pre-job briefings, and effective communication with team members.

Qualifications

• Supervisory experience required to oversee crews in field operations.
• Extensive experience with horizontal directional drilling and related equipment.
• Strong knowledge of safety procedures and OSHA regulations is essential.
• Ability to read and interpret staking sheets, plans and maps.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate creation of new boring paths for underground lines.
• Perform standby duties for power restoration during off-hours and holidays.
• Drill paths for underground electrical and fiber optic lines and conduit.
• Operate and maintain directional drilling equipment and locate systems.
• Review staking sheets and amend deviations from the plan.
• Ensure no damage to property via proper observation and pre/post inspections.
• Coordinate project schedules and daily work performance.
• Lead pre-job briefings addressing safety concerns and communicate with crew.
