CST Utilities LLC is seeking a Horizontal Directional Drill Operator in Columbus, OH. You will safely operate HDD equipment to install underground utilities, perform site activities, and collaborate with field crews to complete projects efficiently.
The role requires CDL A, experience with drill locating systems, and a willingness to travel as projects demand. Excellent safety and teamwork are essential in this physically demanding environment.
Qualifications
- Minimum of two years of HDD experience in various ground conditions.
- Experience locating directional drills and proficiency with drill locating systems.
- Valid Class A CDL is required.
- Experience in telecom or underground utilities construction is preferred.
- Driver's license with insurable record is required.
- High school diploma or GED completed.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate HDD equipment to install underground utilities.
- Perform all phases of directional drilling and monitor bore paths.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain equipment in safe condition.
- Carry out routine maintenance and minor repairs on drilling gear.
- Travel to project locations as required and coordinate with crew.
