Job summary

RDR Utility Services Group is seeking experienced Directional Drill Operators and Equipment Operators to join our team. You will operate heavy equipment to horizontally bore utilities, repair and replace lines, and install new utilities.

The role is physically demanding and requires mechanical knowledge of bore machines, excavators, dump trucks, and loaders. A valid driver's license is required, and travel around Ohio 6–7 months per year with weekends at home.

Qualifications

• Operate and maneuver heavy equipment including directional bore machines, excavators, trucks and trailers, loaders, and other machinery.
• Work around utility locates to provide safe digging/drilling.
• Perform drilling operations to dig holes and trenches for construction projects.
• Follow project plans and blueprints to ensure accurate drilling and excavation.
• Monitor equipment performance and report any malfunctions or issues to the supervisor.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety regulations and procedures.
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects in a timely manner.
• Conduct routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Mechanical knowledge and understanding of equipment operation.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions
