Job summary

Southeast Connections, LLC, a leader in infrastructure solutions for the natural gas industry, seeks a Directional Drill Operator to perform drilling and installation of underground gas lines and support routine construction tasks.

The role involves operating HDD drills (Vermeer and Ditch Witch), handling heavy materials, ensuring site safety, and following customer specifications and company safety protocols on each project.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Three to five years of HDD equipment operating experience in underground utilities or pipelines.
• Prev. experience in the natural gas industry is highly preferred.
• Certifications in HDD operation, safety training, and utility locating are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Operate HDD drills (Vermeer and/or Ditch Witch) to drill and install underground gas lines.
• Place, remove or maintain underground utilities and related heavy materials.
• Participate in manual labor and site preparation tasks.
• Secure worksites and ensure public safety and regulatory compliance.
• Follow safety procedures and report incidents to foreman.
• Deliver project work per customer specs and contract requirements.
• Ensure installations meet standards and are performed safely.
• Promote team safety and prepare sites for construction procedures.
