Amazon Kuiper Manufacturing Enterprises LLC in Austin, Texas seeks an experienced System Architecture Lead for end-to-end D2D and satellite-to-cellular solutions. You will own the D2D architecture across core, RAN, satellite, devices, spectrum, and regulatory domains.

Collaborate with Business, Product, and Solutions Architecture; drive cross-domain trade-offs; ensure coherence as requirements evolve; engage with MNOs, OEMs, and vendors in a fast-moving, international environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in satellite or cellular systems with 3+ years in D2D/ NTN or satellite-to-cellular architectures.
• End-to-end knowledge across satellite payload, ground segment, RAN, 5G core, and devices.
• Ability to document cross-domain trade-offs and drive decisions with multiple engineering teams.
• Working knowledge of 3GPP NTN standards and mobility with terrestrial networks.
• Experience with direct collaboration with MNOs, OEMs, or chipset vendors on D2D solutions.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end D2D technical architecture and plan of record.
• Translate customer, MNO, and business needs into the system architecture across domains.
• Drive cross-domain decisions across core, RAN, satellite payload, devices, spectrum, and regulations.
• Turn architecture into requirements, interfaces, and acceptance criteria for development.
• Maintain coherence as requirements evolve and resolve cross-domain conflicts.
• Represent architecture to leadership, customers, partners, and vendors.
