Job summary

Sunrise Community, Inc. is seeking a Direct Support professional to assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, supporting them to live valued lives in the community.

The role involves supervised daily activities, documentation of progress and coordination with a Residential Program Director. The position emphasizes safety, independence, and person-centered planning, with opportunities to contribute to program quality and client well-being in a not-for-profit, drug-free

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Driver's License with endorsements and 3 years driving experience
• High School Diploma or equivalent when required by location
• Basic computer skills
• Minimum 1 year of experience in human services field if required by location

Responsibilities

• Assist Residential Program Director in supervising individuals per their plans
• Ensure training, behavior and support programs are implemented and documented per regulations
• Protect health, safety and well-being of individuals at all times
• Provide a positive environment that promotes independence and choice
• Assist with scheduling staff, appointments, vehicle maintenance and shopping
• Monitor compliance with agency directives and licensing standards
• Maintain well-organized homes, outdoor areas and vehicles
• Perform other duties as assigned
