Job summary

Central State Community Services Oklahoma is seeking a dedicated Direct Support Professional (DSP) supervisor to oversee in-home care and a team of DSPs. This role emphasizes reliable attendance and compassionate daily living support.

You will coordinate planning and delivery of meals, medications, transport, and community activities while maintaining thorough care records and ensuring compliance with policies.

Responsibilities

• Regular, predictable and reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Assist individuals to change bed linens, wash and iron laundry, and clean the living area.
• Assist in planning, purchasing, preparing and serving food according to guidelines or special prescribed diets.
• Assist in lifting individuals into and out of bed, car, or wheelchair as needed.
• Assist individuals to dress, bathe, and groom themselves.
• Administer prescribed medications under written direction of a physician.
• Accompany individuals in home and community activities as guide and aide.
• Help individuals secure and attend community activities to prepare for employment.
• Provide transportation to work, therapies, or leisure activities using various transport.
• Entertain the individual at home with reading, games, and other activities.
• Participate in leisure activities including visits to family, swimming, etc.
• Perform miscellaneous duties such as obtaining supplies and running errands.
• Maintain detailed records of services and the condition of the individual.
• Directly supervise two to twelve employees at the assigned work site; coordinate staff inservices.
• Plan, assign, and direct the work of DSPs; schedule staff hours.
• Evaluate staff performance regularly.
• Support and strengthen the corporate character program.
• Recognize and reward demonstration of character by employees and clients.
• Correct underperforming staff and address complaints.
• Conduct monthly staff meetings and other necessary meetings.
• Monitor all documentation, progress notes, medications, incident reports and related logs.
• Complete time sheets and submit payroll-related documents.
• Maintain petty cash accounts and receipts for review.
• Keep accounts for funds of the person receiving services when deemed necessary.
• Ensure food, housekeeping and medical supplies are ordered and received.
• Oversee menu selection and approve substitutions.
• Secure approval of maintenance/repair plans.
• Act as Health Care Coordinator and schedule/attend medical appointments.
• Liaise with agencies, Case Manager and family members involved in services.
