Direct Support Specialist (Per Diem) — 8am-3pm M-F

Job summary

All Pointe Care, LLC is seeking compassionate Per Diem Direct Support Staff in Meriden, CT. The role supports individuals toward personal goals and daily independence, including activities of daily living, meals, and transportation.

Hours are 8am-3pm, Monday to Friday. Candidates should have a valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and be willing to obtain CPR/First Aid and PMT if not already certified. Strong communication and a caring attitude are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
• Current auto insurance and registration required.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
• PMT certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Experience with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and a passion for helping others.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals in working toward personal goals and daily independence.
• Assist with activities of daily living, including meal preparation, light housekeeping, and transportation.
• Accompany individuals to appointments, community activities, and social outings.
• Provide encouragement, guidance, and positive support.
• Help create a safe, engaging, and supportive environment.
