Job summary

Aspire Living & Learning, Inc. in Waterbury, CT, seeks a Direct Support Professional to provide hands-on support in a residential setting for individuals with developmental disabilities.

You will help with daily activities, household tasks, meals, recreation, learning activities, and fitness, while upholding person-centered values. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, basic computer skills, excellent communication, empathy, and a valid driver's license with at least 3 years of driving

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Basic computer skills; Therap experience a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to individuals in a residential setting.
• Assist with daily activities including chores, meals, recreational activities, learning activities and physical fitness.
• Represent the needs, wants, and interests of individuals served and contribute to program planning and implementation.
