Qualifications

• Must have valid drivers license for specific sites.
• Pass background checks and drug test.
• Knowledge of support/intervention techniques (lifting, bending, kneeling, stooping, reaching, blocking, grabbing).
• Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and ability to follow menus/recipes.
• Ability to handle unpleasant personal care tasks with sensitivity and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals served to increase independence and exercise rights.
• Transport individuals for outings and ensure safety.
• Prepare meals and snacks based on nutritional guidelines.
• Assist individuals served with behavioral support per approved procedures.
• Assist in health, hygiene, grooming, and, if certified, administer medications.
• Document care and compliance with standards via data sheets and records.
• Encourage participation in Person-Centered Support Plans.
• Participate in staff and plan meetings and organizational activities.
• Follow organizational policies.
• All other duties as assigned.
